Hot cocoa!

Nothing warms the heart like hot cocoa except Mum!  Well, in the US we say Mom but I thought "mum" was cute!  This little girl is sipping her hot cocoa!  There's nothing better than having a cup of cocoa (or in my case - coffee) with my Mom.  When I was a little girl - I'd go stay the night at my aunt's house and we'd have coffee n saltines with butter right before we went to bed.  Now it doesn't sound like the best idea - but boy - I always looked forward to that at my aunt's house!  Mom didn't give us coffee!!  That is still my favorite aunt in the world!  In fact, I just went to visit her last week for her 89th birthday!  Man I love that woman.  I took my Mum down to see her also!  Anyway - hope you enjoy my card and thanks for letting me ramble on.....

A Baby

Babies make me think of spring.  Remember in the Bambi movie when it's spring and all the little animals are being born.  Well.....there you go!  Babies are the beginning of a new season in so many ways!  New life, new growth.  This little guy from Just Some Lines is just adorable sleeping on his pea pad smiling (I'm sure he's dreaming) The challenge over at Lollipop Challenge is just not a square or rectangle card! I cut the box out and used my nesties to create the mat and the image.  I used my EK Success punch on top and of course - Ribbon - always have to use ribbon!  A ribbon at the bottom and a bow at the top!  Hope you get the chance to go check the other design team's creations at Lollipop Challenge.  And...of course, go check out our sponsor - Just Some Lines.  Now go check out what the Design Team has created and show us what you come up with!  You have until Saturday evening!  Get Creating ladies - you could win some Just Some Lines Digis!

I so love Kenny K's digis!  This one is so fun!!  Just got it!  Had to have it!  But then again - I already bot another one for next week!  Anyway- I love the blue colors of the aquamarine tones!  I decided to even use it in her hair!  It's funny the colors kids will color their hair now adays!  Hope you like this - it's a bit busy - but I'm loving it - love the papers, etc etc

Show us Green

This is a "go green challenge - I used every green/blue-green in the arsenal....well....maybe not all of them.  I made it simple for the most part - but fussy cutting this peacock wasn't easy!  The feathers on top and the little details - Yikes - and I didn't cut any off - that's the kicker!  I then used a couple of swirls from my cricut Picturesque cart and done!  I do like this image - I'm dieing to try it in other than green!  Stayed tuned for another version of this little girl riding the peacock!

A Tisket A Tasket, a cute little Bunny Basket!

The old nursery song - A Tisket A Tasket a green and yellow basket - I wrote letter to my mom and on the way I lost it,....Ok - just be happy this is written form and not actually singing it!  Well, actually, when the music is up real loud - my voice is awesome.  I do believe it is the drowning of my voice that makes it better - but better it is!  Ha! Ha!  This digi from Karen's Doodles had so much detail - I loved it!  I decided to combine it with a sketch from Sweet Sketch - I find that combining with a Sketch takes some of the "thinking" out of it!
Hope you enjoy my card....

The challenge was to use the Cuttlebug and make a card with a nestie/die cut shape.  I don't believe I've ever done it before - I enjoyed making it - I definitely will be doing another.   Look for 'em!  It was simple yet fun!  I cuttlebugged my folder also and added another cut on top with a nestie with the image tied and bow and Voila!  Fun Stuff - stayed up last night - grinding out cards/stuff!  This morning is coloring - Busy week coming up - figured if I wanna play in the challenges - gotta do it now!  Last week was nutzo for me and this week is shaping up the same!  Get the mojo on baby!

Charmed, i'm sure!

I really love coloring the Pollycraft images - they are simple, yet detailed.  They are very forgiving in their nature - this little girl is gathering strawberries - which reminds me - they are about to come in season and there is a patch down the street from me!  Wow!  Sounds like I live in Hicksville, well, I don't but it fairly rural compared to where I was before!  Central California!  Anyway - I went simple with this one!  Pulled out the cricut and cut some swirls from Picturesque in glitter white paper and my floral shape mat is cut with my nesties in the glitter white!  Monochromatic for the Bug challenge (check them out below) and Pollycraft image also!

A movie Strip?

A movie is what you're supposed to think of - well, actually - the black strip is supposed to be a film - the rest is a loose take on a Disney movie about all the animals in the forest, etc. etc.  It's spooky yet sparkly - so...needless to say - not a real movie - Let's Pretend!  I sometimes like to fly by the seat of my pants and use a loose interpretation - love this little animals in the forest - and the monochromatic feel is fun!

Let's Face It Flowers!

This is another Peachy Keen challenge - I am so in love with their face stamps!  It's like an addict - once you try it - you're hooked!  They just make you smile when you see them.  The flower Power challenge over at Peachy Keen Let's Face it Friday was so hippie like that I thought I'd throw the silly faces with the colors from that era.  I was a child during the 70s - I remember being so excited because I got the orange, pink and green floral bed set - A corner group WITH a stereo!!  Was I too cool or WHAT!?!?!?  Any way - those were fun days!  Sorry - I used my Picturesque for the flowers and stems and my lace Martha Stewart punch for the top and bottom border and a random ribbon! and  BAM!

Butterflies!

Alright - Another great challenge from the Lollipop Crafts.  The challenge is Butterflies!  Well, who doesn't love butterflies!  Our wonderful sponsor is Robyn's Fetish. Her digis are so playful.  Go check her out! This is definitely gonna be a card a friend or Mom - it could be for a Mom.  I know I'm always thankful for my Mom - although - I will probably make a more elaborate mushy card for my momma!  She is and was an incredible mom!  She sacrificed so that we could have the best while she had very little.  When you're little you don't notice it - we have a tendency to take - so remember "Thanks" is a simple word that makes it all worth while.
Ok - on to the card - this is a Robyn's Fetish digi and I went a little crazy with dp and punches but I like it and I hope you do also!

Enjoy!

Well....I wasn't so sure I was gonna join the Cricut Challenge - but I decided to give it a whirl!  This image is from Whoopsi Daisy - the challenge was Easter, I combined it with a thank you of sorts with blue white and yellow from Cricut Cardz.  There's nothing more fun than saying thank you with a little something.  This is the 2/5/7/10 box from Splitcoast (there I go again).  We also needed to add a border from the cricut - I linked up daisies - thought it worked, eh??  The enjoy is a $.50 cent stamp from the dollar bin at Target and a Stampin up punch!  A little bling in the border and Man - this is so ready for something something inside to someone!!

Bunnylicious

Ok - I can never remember the name of this fold???  Tri Shutter ??  Anyway - I so love doing it and after a couple of times - you can do it without thinking!  I decided to cut him in the flower Nestie but he didn't fit so I used the technique "out of the box"  I use it a lot actually.  I had a hard time at first - now I just run with it!  I think she's the cutest digi from the Meljen gang!  You can always tell their digis by the fluffies around them.  This little lady is carrying her carrots (treaure) to her family - Tee Hee!  Well, maybe not - but inside it says hippity hop hippity hop and Happy Easter!  As always - leave a comment and let me know what you think!

A Fairy Ballerina

Doesn't Whoopsi Daisy have the best digis.  You know they are great priced and so fun to color!  The challenges was flowers.  Well, I was cleaning out my craft room (just a little not major) and found these flower stickers!  I thought - PERFECTION!  So, I used them instead or silk, paper or cricut!  I do like them.  I love the sketch from Tuesday Morning and I think it qualifies for mythical (fairy) at Digital Tuesday and Cute for Raise the Bar!  Bingo!

Spring

I don't think anything says Spring more than a basket of flowers!  This is a Karen's Doodles digi - the flowers are awesome - I colored them with Copics with a little Sakura embossing pen touch!  The Spring sticker is from the DCWV Spring sticker pack from a few years ago!  The bow and button - well....random!  Hope you like it and hope you're looking forward to Spring and all that comes with it!

Egg Hunt

Ok - you gotta just love this chickie.  It's from Celebrate with Flourish Cartridge- It's so one of my favs!  I'm pretty fickle though so - that list changes regularly.  Anyway - the challenge at BBTB2 and Fantabulous Cricut Cards Challenge was my quest!  I made a square easel card (hard to tell here) and used my Martha Stewart and Nestabilities for the mats and labels!  a quick bow and voila!  Hope you like it - simple but loving it!

Challenges - Fantabulous Cricut: Challenge Monday, BBTB2

Blingy Bunny!

Well, the challenge was "bling"....so I decided to make my bunny blingy for the Peachy Keen challenge and the bunny in lieu of the birthday bash bunny!  I don't have that cart - though I would so love to ..... I don't!  It's "on the list".  Anyway-I cut out the bunny and his friend the carrot and decided to put a face on the carrot.  The sentiment inside says "Easter Greetings" and on the outside - simply "eggs".  That's a big part of the tradition at our house.  Unfortunately, our kids are all getting older - our youngest is gonna be 10 in June!  Not much of a baby - but....what memories, we have made with the "bunny" and "eggs".  It's not the reason for the season but it's what brings out the child in all of us!  Hope you enjoy my card.

First of all, I love Bugaboo digis!  They are simple and just seem to always put a smile on your face!  On to the card - the challenge was scallops so I thought I'd do a scallop card (from the old cart - Mini Monograms), scallop mat, scallops corners, just scallops every where you look!  I used the sketch from Card for men . A Dragon Story

A Dragon Story - it's about a leprechaun and a rainbow!  I've had this dragon from Stampin with the Dragon for a while and have been anxious to use it - I love my little pot at the end of the rainbow and rainbow made with my cricut.  Inside it says "may your blessing outnumber the shamrocks that grow".  I thought that was a cute saying - This is DCWV paper - simple layout with a cute digi.

Everyone knows shabby chic is in!  Well, sometimes.  This is a major combo - I just love the All That Scraps digis.  They are too cute!  I'm on a cute kick - gotta get me some "hmmmmm....what"????  Well, I combined a few combos - a sketch by Fuzzy Wuzzy, pearls and lace by Totally Gorjuss, shabby chic by A Spoon full of Sugar.  I do like the combo - I love simple but sometimes - i like to pour it on!

Everything Happens

Everything happens for a reason!  This is something I say so often!  I do truly believe it.  I think it's sometimes hard to see and/or understand why but I do believe in the bigger plan/picture.  This was a tough card at first combining elements and sketch.  But....I do like what the outcome was and the meaning behind this card.  It's the meaning I want to project and the lightness of the ladybug!  Fun Stuff!  Hope you enjoy my card and theory (LOL)

Within Us

The saying on this quoted vellum was perfect - "what lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to -What lies within us."  This little "hedgehog and ladybugs" are the perfect image - it's like he's telling them a "life lesson".  One that we should all know but need to understand.  When life gets tough we have to look within ourselves to get through things.  The road may be rocky but always worth the climb!

Just loved the saying on this one..it's funny to think that Mohammed Ali (a tough fighter) would say something so sweet.  This is a digi from a gem of a challenge along with their sketch.  I bought this EK Success punch and wasn't really enamored with it - but as I use it - I'm starting to like it more.  I actually printed the bottom half of the paper and the rest is DCWV.  I used my cricut for the flourishes and of course, my copics and sakuras.  I so hope you like this little "gem".
