A Love for Phindy's

Phindy's did a sketch challenge this time - this is not their norm.  So fun to color this digi - i made it all about the hearts - all about the pink and red.  By the time Valentines is done - i will be so over pink and red.  Kinda' like Christmas ,eh?  Anyway -i used a little DCWV and also used it for the sentiment on a modern label from Stampin UP!  Cuttlebugged, a little of it all - a lot of bling and voile!  Simple and quick post - I will say this fussy cut card wasn't that simple but I enjoyed it!  Thanks

Challenge - Phindy's, Kaboodle Doodles

A Slave to Love

Ok - I know this guy was originally a halloween digi but I love to repurpose these guys and make them something else - I dressed him in pink red and a pair of cut off jeans and tried to make him more Old fashioned - not sure I succeeded but had a really good time doing him.  Kinda funny - after I finished the card - I realized it opens from the left - nothing traditional about this card!  Anyway - sitll love him and hope you all do also!  I did use my cricut to cut the heart - thought I'd combine another challenge - Thanks for popping by!!  Hope you enjoy!!

Challenges - Tickle me Pink, Bitten By the Bug 2, Frosted Designs

Sweet Orange!

What an absolute delight this digi is from Pollycraft!  I decided to go with orange for my "one other color".  Fall is what most people think when we think orange - but by george - I'm gonna' make orange the new "in" color.  I'm starting to really like it - as a matter of fact, i'm going to paint an empty room Owl's house orange. and yes, that is a disney color.  It is currently - one enchanted evening (purple) and friendly frog (yes, green).  It's going to be a play/video room for the only child left at home!  Boy, is she gonna' get a distorted view about the world!  But, in reality - in this house - it is all about Madison!!  Anyway, I hope you enjoy the card and thanks for letting me blab on and on!

Challenges - Pollycraft Monday, Sweet Sketch Wednesday, Stamp Something

Lovin the Bear!

So loving this bear - he's definitely got some love to give and a present also!!  This is what I'd consider another form of a trifold card - I love these cards - they are so easy and so fun to make.  I used the digi from designed to delight - she's got some great digis and if you participate weekly - she's sends you a new digi!!  I love it - how can you go wrong!!
Challenges - Designed 2 Delight, Mark's Finest Papers, Totally Gorjuss,

S.W.A.K.

This reminds me of the oldies song - "sending the letter"  sealed with a kiss!  This meljen digi is so cute - probably was meant for a teacher but I just loved him in this and I think it fit perfectly - I printed him and then held on to him - This is a trifold card which was the challenge along with a heart, valentines etc.  I tied the big red bow to "seal it up tight"!  Man, all these valentines day cards - I'm thinking about being silly and sending them to my clients! Well, I do like how this card came out - thanks again as always for leaving a comment and popping by!

Friends!

Talk about a fun digi!  I wanted to stay with all pinks and reds - these little girls are so cute!  Don't they seem like the best of friends - i just got a new shapeabilities - labels - i'm in love is all I gotta say!  I wanted to use a couple dp - so I used my glitter dp to make a butterfly to make it qualify for another challenge - One of the challenges was a tribute to Martin Luther King so I made a mixed ethnic card.  Too cute - Friendship is blind to color!  Loving it!!

Challenges - Karen's Doodles, Crafty Ho's and Claudia and Company

Shop!

Shop is my motto!  The more the better - looking for bargains - the quest - that's what I'm talking about!!  This makes me think of my sister and I in the bay area shopping or just around the central valley when we do "black friday".  We are serious!!  We love the shop - we love the victory!  Too fun!  Just a simple, yet detailed digi from Digi's With Attitude!  They have the best digis and the best "tweens" with attitude.  We all know those go together - I used my Copics to color my shopper and some DCWV paper and the cuttlebug!  I seem to use that regularly and my beloved Cricut!  I used the Rock Princess Cartridge - they just seem to go with the attitude!  Fun Stuff - check out the rest of the design team at the website - you'll just love 'em - they are so incredibly talented and will give you a little mojo boost!! Then, it'll be your turn - just use a digi with a "person" on a card/layout - whatever!  Have fun!  I'm dying to see what you all submit!!

Organically Chic

I wasn't sure about doing this challenge - I'm not the "distresser".  It seems like I'm ruining the paper.  I decided to step outside of my box and make it organically chic.  I started adding things and adding.  I had to think of what image would be best - well...day for daisies won out - ironically, their challenge is organic.  I do appreciate your stopping by and please critique (nicely, of course) my work and give me ideas - I would appreciate the ideas of how to improve - this is pretty new to me...
Challenges - a day for daisies(organic), Tuesday throwdown (distressing), Karber (dots and stripes),
Critter Sketch, Saturday Sketch - phew that was a good mix!

Feel Better

Feel better- show us your whites was the challenge - it's also a sketch challenge - I loved this little bugaboo nurse.  I decided to put a little splash of pale red (you just gotta for the cross).  And the rest was the white shades.  I think she turned out real cute - I used the cuttlebugged and the punches to add texture along with the white ribbon and some pale blue beads on the pin.  I do like her - thanks for popping in and I hope you like her also!!
Challenges - Catch the Bug and Mojo Monday, Cuttlebug Spot

So, the question is....is this me?  Well, I do have curly hair (although it's dark w/gray highlights).  I am a very casual person.  I love cupcakes....I love people.....I love a lot of things.  I am definitely a girl.  So...for the most part - this is me!  I thought she was cute and felt like I could relate to her --  I decided to incorporate a couple other challenges by using colors, lace, pearls, etc.  I hope you enjoy this casual, curly haired, life loving girl!

This Simply Betty guy is too fun!  I thought I'd use him in a sketch challenge along with the Simply Betty Challenge....It's definitely a simple sketch - I cut him out (which took the most time) and used a simple nestie along with some tickets (top instead of bottom) and He's done!  Love the XOXO's.
Challenge - Simply Betty, Cute Card Thursday (monochromatic)

xoxo

This is a multiple challenge challenge - I used this little princess from paper doll dress up with the peachy faces.  My next purchase is gonna be some more faces - don't you just love 'em!?!?!  I wanted this to be monochromatic and used the peachy face and princess!!  I used my sakura pens on the face to add some color and a slight touch of copics on her hair and cheeks.  But pretty simple -- She kissed the frog and is now saying "prince"??  I don't think so!

Perfect Harmony

What a combo - Whoopsi Daisy digi and my Imagine.  I have so fallen in love with  my copics and my imagine - i got them at the same time - I have to admit - my copics have gotten more attention - i'm a fairly new blogger and have been so addicted!  This is an easel card with a sketch in mind - the dp is old and i bought it on clearance at michaels and couldn't tell you who/what company??  Sorry - I used the imagine more cartridge and my nesties.  What a great combo - Anyway - thanks for popping in - I love the Whoopsi digis!!

Make It Rain!

The challenge is - make some rain!  Sounds simple, eh??  Well, at Digi's With Attitude! has a challenge for you -make it rain!  Sounds simple enough - but how would you go about doing it??  I decided I would cut the rain and the puddle from my cricut- then I used diamond glaze.  I thought I'd add them to her umbrella and have a little splashing - Well....it's your turn...how will you make rain?  Show us your rain - www.digiswithattitude.com.  You may want to grab a digi from the store.  Either way - give it a go and show us what you got!!  You may win a prize, if not - the least is - you'll try a new technique or discover a new favorite digi.  Have fun!!!

Relaxin'

Relax.....Well, we all know that men do it the best!  It's Sunday afternoon in front of the tv with a cold one (beer or soda) and the game (any game will do).  I liked this digi - reminded me of most men on with their feet up - waiting for the day to pass away just lounging.  While, as we know, us women are running around or playing in our craft rooms.  That is our form of relaxation (at least for me).  I love my craft room!!  Thanks to Karen's Doodles for the digi and of course - the usual culprits - Copics and DP (old DP from ??)  Not sure you can tell- but this is a tent card!!  My top is wide and so it conceals - but it definitely is a tent card!!

Challenges - Karen's Doodles, Spoonful of Sugar, Tuesday Morning Sketch

Love Bear

This was a really fun challenge - I decided to make one of the 2-5-7-10 boxes that I scrap lifted from a tutorial on Splitcoast stampers.  The challenge is to create a Valentine Day treat for a loved one!  Well, this is gonna be filled with goodies galore.    I used my imagine for the heart mats and the DZ Doodles love bear for the focal image, some DCWV paper, Martha Stewart for the punch and I love him - I think he came out cute as can be!!  Check out all the cute digis at http://dzdoodles.com/shop/  She's constantly adding to the site.   Well, have fun and don't forget to enter the challenge at

Pretty in Pink

Pretty in Pink!!  You know I don't wear much pink and it's not cause I don't like it - as a matter of fact, I don't know why I don't buy much pink??!?!?!  I loved the challenge of pink!  It's a great pastel and being a girl - I do think it symbolizes femininity.  Maybe it's a bit old fashioned but I believe it!  Anyway- on to the card - I decided to combine another challenge - yikes - a sketch that required 2 buttons, 3 flowers (all stacked up), 5 rhinestone/gems, 4 brads and a bow!  plus an actual sketch - so in reality there are 6 challenges combined - whoot whoot!!  Talk about hitting it out of the park - well, hope you enjoy!!

Traditional!

Ok - traditional - black, white and either pink or red???  I'm not sure I see traditional - but let's go with it!  I love this teen with her cupcake and her attitude- I used DCWV paper and blinged it up with my Irock and sewed the strip down, used my Stampin up punches, - actually fairly simple but love the look!

Challenge - Simply Betty

California Winter

California Winters are so different than I see everyone dealing with. We get cool and sometimes cold weather - snow - or seasons - not normally.  I'm from Southern California and have transplanted to Central California.  Now we don't have So Cal weather here but the most we get is cold and fog during the winter and man are our summers hot!  Anyway - I used a sketch challenge on this one and the winters of California.  I hope you like my elisabeth bell digi - she is just delightful - she is reading and dreaming of where she is reading!!  Fun stuff!!  Thanks for popping by!

Grateful.....

Well, today has been about my Imagine Machine.  I decided to combine my 3 loves - digis, copic and my imagine.  I cut this all out of my Imagine machine and Imagine More cartridge - I used the cupcake digis from Meljens and cut them up and put them on the card base after making a multimatted card.  The Meljen challenge was anything but a rectangle - well - there is absolutely no rectangles - not even my sentiment!  I love the way it came out - I did a little doodling with my Sakura pens and done!!  I like it!!

Love Ya!

Delightful Inspiration is so generous - if you participate everyweek - they send you a new digi - so what are you waiting for???  Participate!!  This is the freebie from last week - a cute cupcake with heart candies on top!  I used some of my pink glitter glue on top to simulate frosting - the cupcake looks like a Cricut cupcake I use - too funny - I used some random scraps trying to stay simple and this is a "sketch" challenge also from Friday Sketchers!  Thanks for popping in - boy by February 14th - I'm gonna' have a boatload of valentine cards!!  fun!

Happy New Year - Chinese, that is!

Happy New Year - Chinese style!  Their new year is different than ours.  The challenge was to use my imagine- well, it's sunday and i've been at my imagine most of the day!  I used my Pagoda cart (of course) and the Imagine more cartridge.  I sewed my mat and cuttlebugged it.  The symbol actually is Celebrate!  Inside I wrote lucky!  Simple but fun card. - Thanks for stopping by and leave me a comment - critique, whatever comes to mind - always can use pointers!!

Love Me!

Skull and cross bones is danger - well....there is no danger here - just a toxic love.  you know you'll be addicted when you fall in love with me (tee hee).  I thought I'd turn a toxic figure into a something fun!!  It's like Casper the friendly ghost - this is a friendly skull and cross bones - it's love!!  That's about as friendly as you can get!!  I used some cuttlebug and distressed the DCWV paper some rub ons and white pen to doodle.

Good Luck Red!!

Little Red Riding Hood is tracking through the woods- all I gotta' say is....Good luck Red!  We all know what happens in them there woods!!  It's a bit scarey but little red has us to watch over her!!  I was going to do the Meljen Team Challenge - but thought it was distress - it was anything but a rectangle - whoops!!  So...I loved her and decided to adapt the sketch from Sketch Saturday, use Good luck from Charisma Cardz.  I did use a bit of bling and some distressing, inking, punching, etc - a bit of a lot!!  I do like her and I hope you do too..

A Pixie Friend

I loved this little pixie - i love the challenge- pink and green.  I always love when it's color and sketches - I find them the easiest.  Now - I always have to push myself a bit further and get a two-fer or three fer.  This time I got a three fer!!  I needed to use a tag, green and pink and an easel card.  Fun!!  The challenges are listed below.  I even left a bit of room for you to write something other than the sentiment that i just love - In case you can't read it very well....Truly great friends are hard to find and difficult to leave and impossible to forget.  Sweet, huh??  I love the sentiment - Thanks as always for popping in!!

Think White!

Think White - Well - we could use a little color on the digi but i chose to use very little - it sounds simple but it's amazing how hard it is not to add color!  I tried to add some interest and texture by using the cuttlebug, glitter paper, white pearls and white ribbon and a MS border punch!  A little Tag and voile!

Green and Black Attitude!

I so loved the clock from Celebrate with Flourish on my Cricut and thought - I'm going to combine it with one of the newer Tween digi's from Digi's with Attitude!  Anyone who has a tweener (and I do) or has had them knows that they love rock and roll and they are Diva's in training (or so they think!)  The digis are awesome at Digi's with Attitude.  Check out their website and see what the talented design team has come up with - it'll inspire you.  It's a digi you just gotta' have!!  Well, check them out and leave a comment about what you think - Thanks for popping in!!  I always appreciate the comments - now check out .....

Red, White & Black

I would consider this - back to basics in some ways!  Anytime you still with simple colors - it's basic- so I tried to kick it up a notch with some interest - the bow - the square pearls, etc.  The paper is DCWV and is geometric and polka dots.  What a fun combo!!  I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches, the colors from the Cricut Cardz Challenge.  No Copics!!!  Thanks for stopping by and sharing my creations!!  Loving your comments !!!

Peachy Cream!!

Do you just love peachy keen stamps or what???  This is the laughy taffy - didn't start out as my favorite - but has become my favorite - It was a challenge over at My Creative Time - a sketch challenge - I hope I did Miss Emma proud!!  It's Indie Art icecream cones!!  It's an old cartridge and not a full one but having teens and preteens - it's a must have!!  Hope you enjoy - I thoroughly enjoyed making this card!!

Bug Baby!

Adorable is the best word to describe this baby from Bugaboo Stamps.  It came with a saying but I wanted her and the stuff to be the focal point so I made her a bit bigger.  I thought she was adorable (wow - the exact sentiment)  Little girls are made of sugar and spice but sometimes they get a dash of vinegar about the time they become teens - yikes!!!  Well the saying is "little girls" not preteens!  I have 2 girls and love them to death.  One 22 and one 11.  The are fantastic and they are made of sugar and spice - LOL!!  Thanks for popping by - and give your little girl a hug!!

Challenges: Catch the Bug, Cupcake Inspirations, Ladybug Crafts Inc,

Sports Love!

So many guys' first love is "Sports"!!  So - when I heard love - I thought about this Kenny K digi and as much as my kids love sports - that is their first love (right now anyway)!  This guy has just loads of sports equipment.  I added 3 pieces of equipment as my embellishments.  I punched the mat and cut a oval mat with a bit of DCWV sports paper.  I just love this guy and love how this "guy card" came out.  Hope you enjoy him as much as I have!!

Music is the heart of our soul!

Love is the root of all music!  Especially country - sometimes it's heart wrenching and sometimes it's heart lifting.  This guy has his boots on and they are cutting the rug!!  I distressed the cuts with my cuttlebug and Stampin up ink.  This couple is just so cute!!!  I so love 'em.

Simply Delightful

What a delightful inspiration @ delightful inspiration.  She was a freebie for participating.  Well, I can do that!!  I combined 3 challenges - Delightful Inspiration, Crafting with Deedee's Digis (which I promise to use her digi next time) and Critter Sketch.  It was pinks and reds and with the exception of a smidget of gray = it's all pink and red!!  I like her - She's chomping on a heart - but we still mention love below, eh?? The love is on an old wooden heart - the other side has a design i don't like - so I put on some pink letters and some faux stitching and I like the heart!  Thanks for popping in!!

Something New!

I bought some random bag of lace at Joanns - it has an assortment of different lace - love this card - tried to do a monochromatic thing also - a little hint of green but primarily blue!  I love the image - fairly simple but enough detail to be sweet!  The sketch was from A Gem of a Challenge, A Day for Daisies, and Craft Hos!   I truly enjoyed this one!!

Move It!

You gotta' move it!!  You can't tell except for the slight shadow - this little bear is sitting on a wobble!  Those new little action wobbles - it's kinda' like a "bobble head" for cards.  Fun!!  The wobble is imbetween the orange and reddish layer.  i love him - this is just a simple card but what fun coloring the flowers - I used a couple rhinestones - butterflies and a heart!  It's a "heartfelt thanks".

A Man's Card!

A man's Card!  Well, I took it to mean a card a man would give - but I guess it could go the other way - i'll check out what the other designers made but....mine is for a man to give....I guess.  or just a silly card with a man on it - I liked this kinda' hick guy with flowers and a candy bar???  Don't know - I loved the colors of green and brown and the sketch is from C.R.A.F.T. Check out Stampin with the Dragon @ http://stampingwithdragon.blogspot.com/  Challenge was - A man's card!  Hope you enjoy - i thought he was fun and love the card - hope you do too?!?!?!?

The last Snowman!

This is the last of my Christmas cards - I know that I said the last one was but - I mean it this time!!  I had the sketch from Card Patterns 97and Sparkle.  I also was supposed to use a Snowman/Winter for Fantabulous Cricut - Well, This is a conglomerate of "stuff"!  I had fun making it - hope you get a kick out of this "potpourri"!
